WRFC Santa Pub Crawl

The 2nd
Annual WRFC Santa Pub Crawl and Christmas for Needy Children in DC Charity Event
(the WRFCSPCCNCDCCE, for short) will be held on Friday, December
15th.
The
Pub tour started at the 51st State Tavern, which
is located at 24th and Pennsylvania, between Georgetown and Washington
Circle. It is a smallish pub, but has plenty of space for a couple
of hours and was excited to accommodate us to start the evening . . . Santa's
arrive at the 51st State BY 6:45 PM and we leave there at 7 to go to the second pub, which
will most likely be McFadden's
just across the street. And then into Georgetown.
A couple of
reminders. First, this is the Santa Pub Crawl, so everyone mostly came dressed as Santa.
There were reports of good Santa suits at Target for like $50. Wal-Mart and
K-mart have cheaper ones, I think, in all of that word's connotations.
Second, everyone was required to bring a toy--no
toy guns--to the 51st State. We collect them there and the toys
will ultimately be distributed to the Sasha Bruce House, after Sweeper and
Wallaby and I have had ample time to play with them, for safety reasons of
course.
Ok, to sum up: Friday, December 15, the
51st State Tavern, at 24th and Pennsylvania (the actual address is on
L-Street), between 5:00-ish and 6:45-ish. We will be on our merry way
from the
51st State at 7 PM.
Much more to follow in the next several days.
Best,
Tate
