WRFC launches new Hotline Number. The new number, 1-800-686-WRFC stemmed from a need to have more up to the minute communication for club members and fans. For example, venue changes due to weather related issues make it difficult to notify everyone in a timely manner. As a result, the new hotline number has the capability to broadcast message everyone of the new venue. This will be key for Cherry Blossom when weather always plays a factor in the final determination of playing on the US National Mall. Additionally, with the team beginning training earlier in the year, snow and rain will be even more of a factor which can cancel training. With the club training at its new Synthetic Turf Facility in Arlington, VA, the snow and ice still can prohibit the county of Arlington from opening the facility. With their main focus on opening schools, they do not have the resources to make sure that the Turf Field is always operational. However, Coach Bernie Hogan feels that the new practice facility is top notch and is important for the club to train on grounds which facilitate a higher past training to begin our Super League Assault. We look forward to having the new hotline operational effective immediately. Not only will the new features benefit the club, WRFC should actually realize a cost savings over its previous line with Verizon.
